Honda may have dodged a big bullet today when a circuit court judge reversed a small claims court ruling that found the company responsible for lying about its fuel economy on its hybrid vehicles. The plaintiff in that case had claimed that Honda misrepresented its fuel economy and won nearly $10,000. Superior Court Judge Dudley W. Gray II ruled Tuesday on Honda's appeal of a small-claims court

When you look at new car prices and consider a more fuel efficient vehicle, what would you do? Would you pick the more fuel efficient vehicle and hope that you're going to come out ahead on the deal?

GM Throws $400 Million At Peugeot With No End-Game

This story should get wider coverage. General Motors, which is still trying to shed its legacy costs and has shown some strength in the current fiscal year, made the decision to invest in flagging French automaker Peugeot to the tune of $400 million.
There's absolutely no reason that GM should have made the move. It doesn't help GM in the slightest and adversely affects GM's bottom line.

Calls Come In To Can Credit For Plug In Electrics Like Chevy Volt

The Chevy Volt has gotten some real bad press lately. General Motors has had to essentially recall its entire production run of Volts to fix a problem that arose during testing by the NHSTA and IIHS that haven't been found on the street - the potential for a fire hazard due to certain kinds of side impacts. GM rightfully takes a hit over the flaw, and will cost the company an undetermined amount
